Eckstein Magic Delivers Eliminator Victory

Round 5 of the Nutri-Grain IronMan Series, Newcastle Beach

In what was pure surf brilliance, Shannon Eckstein has snatched victory in the punishing eliminator round this afternoon from Round Two winner, Kendrick Louis.

To rapturous applause Eckstein enjoyed a celebratory fist-pump as he raced up the beach after harnessing a small wave that saw him close a significant lead by Louis in the final ski leg.

Surf Life Saving Australia (SLSA) has commenced Rescue of the Month, a monthly program that recognises excellence in lifesaving and service delivery, measured against industry best practice and operating procedures.

Surf Life Saving calls on all Australians to help save more lives this summer

Surf Life Saving Australia (SLSA) launched a new national community awareness campaign to mark the first day of summer on December 1.

Pamela Hendry’s World Record as Aussies Create History in German Cup

Queensland’s pool rescue swimming queen Pamela Hendry is the toast of the Australian Life Saving Team today after her world record breaking swim in the 100m Manikin Carry as the Aussies were crowned German Cup Pool Rescue Champions for the first time in Warendorf.

Hendry, 21, inspired her team to a six medal haul on day two, including two gold, two silver and two bronze for an overall meet tally of three gold, five silver and three bronze medals and to a history-making first ever win in the prestigious international pool rescue competition.
